Located less than 2.5 kilometres away from Kampar town is the Batu Berangkai orang asli village. The village has a strong Semai population. The Semai is the largest indigenous group in Peninsula Malaysia and inhabit the Titiwangsa range in central and southern Perak, as well as western Pahang. The Semais here live in low-lying villages around the Kinta Valley. The Batu Berangkai village is located at the foothills of Gunung Bujang Melaka which happens to be one of the most popular trails for seasoned mountain hikers. Among the popular attractions and activities here include hiking up Gunung Bujang Melaka, picnicking at the Batu Berangkai waterfalls, visiting the orang asli village as well as fish feeding activities.
